About Joy in Piano

Our Studio

Joy in Piano is a private piano lesson studio located in Leominster, Massachusetts. We offer in-person lessons at our studio as well as online lessons via webcam, serving students from 4 years old through adulthood.

Our studio is conveniently located for students in Leominster and the surrounding northern Worcester County area. For online students, all you need is a reliable internet connection — we welcome students from anywhere in the world.

For online lessons, we use a Sennheiser microphone and multiple webcams so students can see the teacher from two angles simultaneously, providing a rich and effective remote learning experience.

Our Director — Michael Rice

Joy in Piano is directed by Michael Rice, an experienced piano teacher dedicated to helping students of all ages discover their love of music. Michael brings a warm, encouraging approach to every lesson, balancing technical discipline with creativity and fun.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum focuses on building a solid technique and strong note-reading skills. Students will also have the opportunity to improvise, compose, and perform. We maintain a balance between discipline and fun in every lesson, allowing each student to discover his or her own joy in piano.

Students participate in our Holiday Performance Series each December and our Spring Performance each June, giving them valuable performance experience in a supportive community setting.
